Cycling Cat Ba & Lan Ha Bay Cruise Escape

2 days

Easy

This 2-day tour departs from Hanoi, featuring cycling to Cat Ba National Park and Trung Trang Cave, followed by kayaking through Lan Ha Bay's secluded lagoons on a traditional overnight boat.

Experience a refined two-day escape from Hanoi to the tranquil landscapes of Cat Ba Island. Your journey begins with a scenic drive from the city, leading to an authentic lunch at a local residence in Hien Hao village. The afternoon features a visit to a family-operated bee farm, followed by a leisurely cycling excursion through the island’s picturesque rural back roads, where you will pass rice paddies, serene hamlets, and witness the daily rhythms of village life en route to Cat Ba National Park. Within the park, explore Trung Trang Cave, a remarkable 300-metre limestone formation first charted in 1938, featuring chambers adorned with stalactites and stalagmites dating back up to six million years. As evening approaches, board a traditional wooden boat designed for an intimate experience, offering a peaceful alternative to the larger cruise fleets of Ha Long Bay. With limited cabins, this vessel caters to travelers seeking tranquility. Enjoy a freshly prepared seafood dinner on deck as the boat anchors in a secluded area of Lan Ha Bay for an overnight stay. On the second day, immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Lan Ha Bay. Awaken to the stunning sight of limestone karsts just outside your cabin. The morning is dedicated to kayaking through hidden lagoons and sea caves seldom visited by other tours, with opportunities for swimming in crystal-clear waters. Conclude your experience with a final seafood lunch on board before the boat returns to Ben Beo pier. From there, you will be transferred back to Hanoi, completing a memorable and immersive journey.
